Foot & Ankle Surgeon — Toetal Podiatry

Dr. Naeemah Ruffin is a New York State Board-Certified Podiatrist and Foot & Ankle Surgeon at Toetal Podiatry. She completed her surgical residency training and served as Chief Resident at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Dr. Ruffin holds a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and a Master of Public Health from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Upon graduation, she received the Sidney Solid Award for outstanding service to the podiatric community in the areas of community outreach, research, clinical excellence, and leadership.

A former Assistant Clinical Professor at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, Dr. Ruffin is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Podiatric Medicine, and an active member of several professional organizations, including:

• International Association of Dance Medicine and Science

• American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine

• American Podiatric Medical Association

• New York State Podiatric Medical Association

A life-long lover of ballet, Dr. Ruffin is passionate about treating dancers of all ages. She collaborates with dance studios and companies to provide biomechanical evaluations, pre-pointe assessments, and educational workshops for dancers, parents, and instructors. Her sessions focus on strength and flexibility, injury prevention, pointe readiness, and long-term foot and ankle health.

Dr. Ruffin also delivers academic lectures on ballet injury care and serves as an Allied Health Partner with the Australian organization The Library Aesthetic, where she educates and inspires dancers to achieve their full potential. Her research has been published in the British Medical Journal and the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association.

When she’s not in the clinic, Dr. Ruffin can be found taking adult ballet classes around the New York City metropolitan area, attending performances at Lincoln Center, developing her skincare line, or enjoying time with her husband.
